She doesn’t like talking about herself, but her passion for her family, the power of education to improve lives and the importance of social justice makes this conversation a wonderful cap to the series.

I so appreciate Professor Dorothy Jones. She is not aware of it, but she was my first mentor. Her style and demeanor has stuck with me throughout the years. I have found myself in professional positions asking myself, how would Dorothy Jones behave in this situation? What questions would she present to me if she were here?
What a great woman! When I was president of the Black Student Union at UAF ’89/’90, she was always available for guidance and support.
